texan-3-box.jpgThe T-6 Texan was known as “the pilot maker” because of its major role in preparing pilots for combat during WWII.  As of 1940, most combat pilots earning their wings had at least 75 hours in the AT-6. A number of T-6 aircraft saw active duty as forward air control aircraft during the Korean war.
